Crude Oil Summary
- The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $3.07 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $38.89.
- Brent crude oil rose $3.68 and currently priced at $41.09.
- One year ago, WTI crude sold for $56.54 and Brent crude was at $62.52.
Motor Fuels
- As of Wednesday, November 04, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $1.98 across Iowa according to AAA.
- Prices fell $.04 from last week’s price and $.45 lower than one year ago.
- The national average on Thursday was $2.12, down $.03 from last week’s price.
- Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell $.02 this week with a statewide average of $2.15.
- One year ago, diesel prices averaged $2.84 in Iowa.
- The current Iowa diesel price is $.21 less than the national average of $2.36.
- Wholesale ethanol fell $.04, currently at $1.35.
- The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.05 for U87-E10, $1.20 for Unleaded 87 (clear), ULSD#2 is at $1.24, ULSD#1 is at $1.45, and E-70 priced at $1.46 per gallon.
Heating Fuels
- Propane prices rose $.01 for a statewide average of $1.10 per gallon.
- Home heating oil was down $.05 from last week, ending with a statewide average of $1.67 per gallon.
- Natural Gas prices fell $.21 at the Henry Hub reporting site and currently priced at $3.08/MMbtu.
