The Madrid boys’ track team had 3 events place 1st in the Southeast Valley Invitational Tuesday, April 15, at Gowrie.
Preston Wicker won shot put with a throw of 45-10.75, and Brody Buck won high jump 5-10.00
In addition, Madrid won 4×200-meter relay in 1:33.71.
Two individuals were runners-up in their events.
Wicker placed 2nd in discus with his throw of 131-03, and Kinnick Grimm finished 2nd in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.27.
Four events placed 3rd.
Morgan Maxwell finished 3rd in shot put with a throw of 41-07.25, and Jacob Farrell ended 3rd in 100-meter dash in 11.22.
Grimm placed 3rd in 110-meter hurdles in 16.41, and Madrid was 3rd in 4×100-meter relay in 45.20.
As a team, the Tigers finished 3rd with 99 points, and Webster City won the meet with 132 points.
