The Boone County Landfill is closed for today. The high winds actually make it dangerous for employees and customers. They plan open at regular time on Friday. With this closure, garbage hauler routes are also impacted. Haulers can go until their trucks are full, but have no place to empty. Expect garbage route delays for Friday as haulers must off-load before commencing their regular routes.
