BOONE, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that includes Boone County until noon today.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY…
* WHAT…Gusty winds and blowing snow. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph.
* WHERE…Portions of northern, central, and eastern Iowa.
* WHEN…Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS…Strong northwest winds gusting to near 35 MPH this
morning will blow snow that fell yesterday. This will reduce
visibility to below 3 miles at times, and will also blow snow over
roadways prolonging slick travel conditions. As winds abate today
the conditions will gradually improve, especially after sunrise.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
