BOONE, Iowa—Just under 14% of the eligible voters in Boone County participated in the Primary Election Tuesday.  There were 1,054 Republican votes cast, 1,589 Democratic votes and 31 Libertarian Party votes cast. Great turn-out at the Ericson Public Library’s 2018 Summer Reading Kick-off Carnival.  It was held Monday evening with popcorn, cotton candy, food for purchase, crafts, spin art, a dunk tank, demonstrations, bounce houses, a fire truck, a police car and much more.
