BOONE, Iowa—All throughout Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Teams have been on active duty, ever since the flood waters started to rage on March 15th.  To this date, The Salvation Army has given out 9,500 meals, 10,000 bottles of water and over 10,000 snacks to those affected by the flooding.  […]

While flood waters to the west are receding, less than typical rail traffic from Amtrak and the Burlington Northern continues to pass through the county. These Amtrak cars came through Boone on Monday afternoon.
