DES MOINES, Iowa—The Iowa Department of Public Health reported another 554 positive tests for COVID-19 bringing the state’s total to 9,703.  There were four additional deaths reported one each in Appanoose, Jasper, Poweshiek and Wapello counties.  IDPH also reported 3,486 patients that recovered. Drive Thru Food Drive Success

On Friday and Saturday this past week, The Boone County Catholic Community hosted a Drive Thru Food Drive for the local Boone County Food Pantries.  The results are in and just amazing.  The Drive Thru Food Drive collected 1,877 lbs. of food and $1,660 for the food pantries of Boone County.

No siren testing on May 4th

BOONE, IA – Boone County Emergency Management Coordinator Lance Kooiker announced that due to impending rain and potential  thunderstorms this afternoon, the sirens in Boone County will not be tested at 1pm today.

Iowa surpasses 9,000 COVID-19 cases; 9 more deaths
