BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors completed the canvas of last Tuesday Primary Election results.  Last week the unofficial results had a total of 4,666 votes reported, but there were about 600 absentee ballots that had not been counted.  The final canvas had 4,791 votes cast, including absentee ballots.  There were 2,278 Republican ballots […]

Monday evening a Black Lives Matter demonstration was peacefully held in downtown Boone with approximately 200 people in attendance.  The BLM group then marched from downtown Boone on Story Street to Mamie Eisenhower Avenue to Carroll Street, back to Mamie’s Birthplace to Eighth Street and back to 8th and Story.
