Marty Lamoureux, Board Member, Boone County Historical Society updates listeners about the Annual Meeting held in January and the most recent monthly meeting. A current project is to try and conduct interviews with veterans willing to share their stories about serving in Viet Nam. Board Member Ron Russel is working on the project. The Class 1A, No. 2, Madrid boys’ basketball team improved their record to a perfect 20-0 with a victory over Don Bosco of Gilbertville, 69-39, Monday, February 10, at Madrid in non-conference play.

Dr. Julie Trepa, Superintendent, Boone Community School District. Trepa talks about the Boone School Board meeting. First we talked about absenteeism and attendance due to illness. She says absenteeism is up due to illness. She also encourages parents not to send sick children to school. She talked about next year's school calendar. The Board adopted it Monday. There are no more early outs on Wednesday's in the 25-26 school year. She also talks about the budget work the Board will be addressing, noting that 2% increases in funding from the state can't keep up 3% and 4% increases in the cost operating.
