BOONE, Iowa—Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity dedicated it’s 28th home on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Boone. The home, located at 515 McPherson Street in Boone will be the home for partner family Lindsay Fitzgerald and her son Charlie. The keys for the home were turned over to Lindsay and Charlie by Construction Project Manager Bob Dennis, who completed his fifth home construction with Habitat and will be stepping away from that position. Dennis was recognized as well for his time with Habitat. Terri Rosonke, HousingIowa Development Specialist with the Iowa Finance Authority addressed those gathered and expressed support not only for the partner family for the Habitat program across the state. She noted that the Iowa Finance Authority has assisted in financing several Habitat projects in Iowa with more than $2-million. A Habitat tradition was the presentation of quilts sewn for Lindsay and Charlie, made by Elisa Huss with the “Sewing For Him” project at the Boone Open Bible Church, and a bible presentation from Amanda Kramer with the Circle of Faith Congregations.
