Boone A&M FFA Chapter Advance Two Career Development Events to State

BOONE, Iowa—Members of the Boone A&M FFA Chapter at Boone High School competed at the North Central District Convention on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Twenty students competed in 7 different competitions (CDEs) going up against the best FFA Chapters from some 40 schools in north central Iowa.  2 areas placed first or second  at Districts and advanced to State to be held on April 20, 2020 at Iowa State University:

Chapter Program CDE team consisted of ShyAnne Brogden, Bria Schwind, and Megan Stern was the 1st place team and advances to state.

Chapter Website CDE presented by Maci Mosher placed 2nd and advances to state.

Other results included:

Ag Issues CDE – Chase Anderson, Evan Behn, Hailey Beckett, Wyatt Carlson, Jake Carter, Ashlyn Kraus, Rylin Pritchett, 3rd Place (Alternate)

Welding Competition – Ian Anderson, 3rd Place and Skyler Walters, Silver

Job Interview – Brennan Lynch, Silver

Extemporaneous Speaking – Joe Zehr, Bronze

Creed Speaking – Trent Overturf, Silver

In addition to the Leadership CDEs, FFA members Will Judge and Ben Wiebold served as voting delegates for the chapter at the District Business Session.  Gage Morain, senior at Boone High School and FFA Chapter Vice President, completed his year of service as the North Central District Treasurer.
