Lt. James Beardsley, corps officer of the Salvation Army in Boone, was accompanied by essay contest winner Caleb Bartlett and second place finisher Harper Houston. Both Bartlett and Houston, fourth graders at Sacred Heart School in Boone, read their essays live on-air during our Talk to the Expert(s) program at just shortly after 9 AM Tuesday morning.
