Baber Enters Race for Boone Park Commission

KWBG 09/21/21

BOONE, Iowa—There are seven names listed as candidates for the upcoming Boone Park Commission election on November 2nd.  One of those candidates, Levi Baber, sent information on his candidacy to KWBG News:

My name is Levi Baber and I am running for the Parks Commission.
I have lived in Boone for 11 years, and am excited to become more involved in the community by helping out as a parks commissioner.
I have worked for over 20 years in information technology, I have experience with budgets, and I’m well organized.  In our previous neighborhood, I served as treasurer for our home owner’s association during the time we built several new playgrounds, and improved the community pool.
Brandon Hurley has done a great job of increasing interest in the McHose disc golf course, and I’ve done some help cleaning up the lower 9.  My family and I love the Boone Parks system, and I am really looking forward to helping continue to maintain and improve the parks.
