BOONE, Iowa—The committee working on a proposed Rec-Wellness Center for the City of Boone will host a Public Forum Thursday evening at the Boone City Hall Auditorium. The Forum has been rescheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. due to the amount of information expected to be presented, according to Boone City Council member Terry Moorman.
The information will include a presentation on Economic Impact by Brenda Dryer with the Ames Economic Development Commission. A presentation of proposed drawings from Denovo, the firm retained to develop the concept drawings and designs. There is also expected a presentation on proposed fees and times of operation and a review of the proposed financials for operations.
Once again, the meeting time has been moved to 6:30 p.m. due to the volume of information being made available. The meeting is in the City Auditorium on the second floor of Boone City Hall. Those needing handicap accessibility should use the west entrance with the ramp for access to the elevator to the second floor.
