BOONE, Iowa—Boone Police investigated a two-vehicle accident Monday morning at the intersection of 5th and Carroll Streets in Boone. The accident report shows the accident occurred at 8:12, when a pickup driven by 16 year old Caden Wisecup was struck by a pickup driven by 35 year old Carisa Christy of Boone. The impact caused the pickup driven by Wisecup to roll onto it’s top. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were considered totaled as a result of the collision. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and the air bag was deployed on the vehicle driven by Christy. Christy was taken by Boone County Ambulance to the Boone County Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Wisecup was cited for failing to yield the right of way from a Yield Sign.
Boone Police Department officers were assisted by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Boone Fire Department, Fire and Rescue and the Boone County Ambulance.
