BOONE, Iowa—Eighteen students from Boone High School competed in Leadership Development Events at the North Central District FFA Convention on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The events were held at West Marshall High School in State Center and included 40 schools from north central Iowa. Leadership development events are skill based competitions in which FFA members demonstrate leadership and career skills either individually or as a team. Members of the Boone A&M FFA Chapter competed in five LDE areas with the following results:

The State FFA LDE competitions will be held on April 15, 2024 in Ames at Iowa State University with the top 12 FFA Chapters from across the state competing. The Boone A&M FFA Chapter is a student organization at Boone High School for students enrolled in agricultural education courses with over 120 members.
