Bonnie Joan Tolsdorf

OGDEN, Iowa—Bonnie J. Tolsdorf, 84, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

A celebration of life gathering for Bonnie will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Bonnie Joan Crouch, daughter of Alvin and Loween (Wilson) Crouch was born on June 9, 1939, in Arion, Iowa. Bonnie received her education thru the eighth grade at Beaver School and graduated from Grand Junction High School with the class of 1957.

On February 16, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Roger Tolsdorf at the Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction, Iowa. To this union two children were born: David and Michele. The couple resided in Beaver and also lived in Scranton for one year before moving to Ogden in 1963 to farm. The couple also owned and operated the Ogden Maid Rite for over 20 years. Bonnie worked for over 30+ years as an office administrator at the Ogden Telephone Company. In her early years, Bonnie operated an in home preschool.

Bonnie was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Ogden where she was active in several church circles including Rachel Circle. She was also a member of Eastern Star. Bonnie enjoyed, being outside, camping, her Sunday after church drives with Roger, working in her garden and flower garden. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas for several years.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger; two sisters, Connie Delp and Sandra Carl; and her brother, Lynn Crouch. Survivors include her son, David (Pamela) Tolsdorf of Ogden; daughter, Michele Tolsdorf also of Ogden; two grandchildren, Joshua and Caitlin Tolsdorf; four great grandchildren, Evelynn, Paxton, Bryar, and Paisleigh.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
