Boone School District Releases Statement Regarding Changes in Activity Director Position

Posted on 09 August 2024 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Community School District has released the following statement today:

“On Tuesday, August 6, the district was notified that Mr. McPartland decided to withdraw his name from consideration for the district’s interim athletic director position. He will continue serving as a dedicated teacher within our district, and we are thankful for his ongoing commitment to our students and families.

While the athletic director hiring process has faced some unexpected challenges, Boone CSD remains committed to supporting our students and student-athletes. We are fortunate to have a team of experienced administrators and staff ready to step in and assist during this transition, exemplifying the spirit of the Toreador community.

At the upcoming board meeting on Monday, August 12, the district will finalize the next steps for filling the role of athletic director for the upcoming school year. We do not anticipate any delays or disruptions to fall athletic activities due to this process.

We greatly appreciate the community’s continued support. Your trust and understanding are invaluable as we work together to ensure our students’ success.”
