Sheriff’s Department Provides Update on Reported Injury Accident from Thursday

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County deputies were investigating three reported injury accidents last Thursday. A report on one of the three shows that no one was transported following a two vehicle collision at J Avenue and 310th Street near northwest of Woodward a quarter after three in the afternoon. A pickup towing a trailer and driven by 74-year-old Michael Garber of Perry was traveling west on 310th Street south bound vehicle operated by 41-year-old Wendy Koenig of Littleton, Colorado struck the truck and trailer. Koenig’s vehicle was totaled in the accident and Garber’s received and estimated $10,000 in damage. Neither operated was injured. Garber was cited for failing to yield the Right of Way at an uncontrolled intersection.

Additional information on accidents northeast of Luther and on the west side of Ames have not been completed. Both were reported as injury related accidents.
