The Boone boys’ wrestling team lost to Gilbert, 53-21, Thursday, January 9, in Boone.
Three individuals won matches for Boone.
At 157 pounds, Trent Eckard won by decision over Cody Puck, 10-4.
At 175 pounds, Joseph Pestotnik pinned Holden Boshart in 1:26.
At 120 pounds, Mason Oostenink pinned Carter Olson in 2:35.
The Boone boys’ wresting team will head to Ames for a 15-team tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11.
