The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Wrestling Tournament begins Thursday, February 6, at Xtream Arena in Coralville and will continue on Friday, February 7.
Boone and Ogden both had 3 girls qualify for state.
First-round matchups are as follows:
No. 9 Poppy Malone of Boone (26-9) will face No. 8 Elizabeth Renshaw of Cedar Rapids Kennedy (30-8) at 105 pounds.
No. 16 McKayla Silbaugh of Boone (20-7) will face No. 1 Mackenzie Childers of Cedar Rapids Prairie (45-0) at 130 pounds.
No. 5 Cadence Heggen of Boone (33-7) will face No. 12 Reese Winslow of Pleasant Valley (30-12) at 190 pounds.
No. 16 Rylin Casey of Ogden (20-17) will face No. 1 Chloe Sheffield of Decorah (35-4) at 100 pounds.
No. 13 Sydney King of Ogden (19-15) will face No. 4 Emma Miller of Treynor (26-2) at 105 pounds.
No. 12 Grace Hammer of Ogden (28-13) will face No. 5 Elizabeth Kalinay of West Marshall (38-9) at 190 pounds.
The first round, quarterfinals and wrestleback rounds 1 and 2 will occur on Thursday.
The semifinals, wrestleback round 3, consolation semifinals and 7th place matches will occur Friday morning, with the finals, 3rd and 5th place matches occurring Friday afternoon.
