Kelli Gregory

LOGANSPORT, Iowa—Kelli LeAnn (Springer) Gregory, 45, of Logansport, passed away at home on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born on September 11, 1979, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Marsha (Browning) Springer. She was a graduate of Boone High School with the class of 1998. On June 17, 2023, Kelli married Donald Gregory at the First Baptist Church in Boone, Iowa.

Kelli was mechanically inclined, which led to her employment as an electrician for Moeller Electric. She went onto work at Lowe’s, Pat Clemons, and then became a small equipment mechanic at Iowa State University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boone. Kelli had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking, trail riding, and gardening. She enjoyed wood working, working on cars, and her motorcycle. She liked listening to music and dancing, even teaching others how to dance. She loved family time; dinners, vacations, reunions, and annual trips to the Iowa State Fair. Old Thresher’s, and the Amana Colonies. She loved to have fun, and made new friends everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jacob; maternal grandparents, Averill and Ruby Browning; paternal grandparents, Lewis and Ruth (Border/Baker) Springer; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kelli is survived by her husband, Don Gregory; step-children, Bradley Gregory (Cassandra Jones), and Blake (Alexis) Gregory; grand-daughter, Millie; parents, Leonard and Marsha Springer; sister, Traci (Andy); nieces, Macie (Tayler), and Haylee; nephew, Nikolas; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Boone, with Pastor Janell Bloem officiating. Interment will be at Bass Point Cemetery north of Boone following the funeral service. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kelli’s memory can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home, 609 7th Street, Boone is assisting the family with these arrangements.
