The Boone boys’ track team opened its season at the Riverhawk Invitational at Mason City Monday, March 17.
In the field events, Jude Baumgardner placed 5th in the shot put with a throw of 49-00.
Dorian Myers and Ajay Braddock placed 5th and 6th, respectively, in the 800-meter run in 2:15.45 and 2:16.64.
Myers and Braddock also ran the 4×800-meter relay with Calvin Cook and Trent Eckard and finished 4th in 9:29.47.
The distance medley relay of Maddox McIntyre, Justus Frese, Drew Hayworth and Myers finished 6th in 4:04.25.

There were 23 teams from north-central Iowa, including Ogden, attending the Mason City indoor meet.
