Van Sickle, Benbow win events for Ogden

Brady Van Sickle and Jude Benbow won events at the Ron Hamel Co-Ed Relays Tuesday, April 29, at Madrid.

Brady Van Sickle and Jude Benbow won events at the Ron Hamel Co-Ed Relays Tuesday, April 29, at Madrid. 

Van Sickle won the 800-meter run in 2:04.80 while Benbow won the 1,600-meter run in 4:45.42. 

Two individuals were runners-up for the Bulldogs. 

Brayden Miller was 2nd in the 400-meter dash in 54.58, and Treyton Mitchell was 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.27. 

Four relays also placed 2nd for Ogden. 

The sprint medley relay of Jude Klith, Vandon Roosa, Miller and Van Sickle finished in 1:39.46 and the shuttle hurdle relay of Weston Sundell, Carson Muggenberg, Ryker Ruse and Mitchel ended in 1:08.16. 

Additionally, the distance medley relay of Tyler Lass, Roosa, Muggenberg and Benbow finished in 3:56.29, and the 4×100-meter relay of Shane Sellers, Klith, Lass and Roosa ended in 46.55. 

Ogden placed 3rd with 122 points while host Madrid won the meet with 163 points.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to run this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at Roland-Story.
