DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated the potential of strong to severe thunderstorms. The primary threats will be hail and gusty winds. Much of expected storm activity will be over Northern and Northeastern Iowa and is expected this afternoon through evening.
