The Ogden baseball team kept its postseason run alive with a wild 12–10 victory over Woodward-Granger in the Class 2A Substate 8 quarterfinals Tuesday, July 8 in Neola.
Ogden scored in four straight innings — 4 in the fourth, 4 in the fifth, 2 in the sixth, and 2 in the seventh — to overcome multiple lead changes.
The Hawks scored 8 of their 10 runs in the third through fifth innings, but Ogden’s bats and bullpen held strong down the stretch.
Tanner Rohe led the Bulldogs with 3 hits and 4 RBIs, while Colson Carson added 3 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs.
CeJay Jones, Brody Burdette, and Christian Thede each delivered key hits and RBIs in the middle innings to fuel the comeback.
Burdette earned the win in relief, striking out 2.
With the win, Ogden improves to 14–15 overall, while Woodward-Granger ends its season at 11–13.
Ogden advances to the Class 2A Substate 8 semifinal, where they’ll face Tri-Center (18–4) on Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. back in Neola.
