BOONE, Iowa—Ogden voters selected Councilmember Margaret Liston to be the city’s next Mayor in January. Liston will need to step down from her Council position before replacing Mark Trueblood who decided not to seek re-election. Liston faced a write-in challenge but picked up 252 votes over 197 write-in votes for Matt Haynie.
Councilmembers Brian Reimers and David Ohlson received 365 votes and 333 votes respectively.
Election results are unofficial until canvased by the Boone County Supervisors next week.
