BOONE, Iowa—Beverly Jean Madden Van Schuyver of LaBelle, Florida, and formerly of Boone and Ogden, Iowa, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1941 in Boone. She wed Arland Van Schuyver in May of 1963.
Beverly spent many years working at Bishop Engineering in Urbandale, Iowa, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression.
Beyond her career, Beverly found great joy in the outdoors. She and Arland spent their summer months camping at Don Williams Lake and enjoying fishing and boating. The artist in Beverly shone through in her ceramic work and oil painting. Beverly also loved gardening as well, especially growing her orchids in Florida.
Beverly’s life was deeply enriched by her family. She is survived by her husband, Arland Van Schuyver; her son, Marty Van Schuyver; grandson, Bryce (Amanda) Van Schuyver; granddaughter, Megan (Jimmie) Van Schuyver; great-grandsons, Silas Shaffer, Brock McCoy, and Gabe McCoy; and sister, Donna Mae Thede.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Van Schuyver; granddaughter, Mackenzie Van Schuyver; and brothers, Darwin and DeWayne Madden.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Mackey United Methodist Church, 288 V Avenue, Boone, with Pastor Mike Salati officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the service, inurnment will be at Mackey Cemetery, Boone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the family.
