
The Madrid girls’ basketball team ran into a tough Woodward‑Granger squad on the road Thursday, January 22, falling 60–25 in a West Central Conference game at Woodward‑Granger High School.
Lauren Dvorak led Madrid with nine points, connecting on 4‑of‑10 shooting and knocking down one three‑pointer.
Dvorak also pulled down four rebounds, including two offensive, while adding one block and one steal.
Laura Eagleton added six points, making 2‑of‑6 field goals and converting both free throw attempts.
Eagleton also led the Tigers with two assists.
Samantha Springer finished with four points and led Madrid with seven rebounds.
Springer also handed out two assists.
Mayzie Surratt contributed three rebounds and one assist.
With the defeat, Madrid moves to 8–7 overall and 2–7 in West Central Conference play.
Woodward‑Granger improved to 8–5 overall and 4–3 in the conference.
Madrid will look to rebound when the Tigers return to action Tuesday, January 27, traveling to Panorama for another West Central Conference matchup.
Panorama enters the game with a 5–11 overall record and a 4–6 conference mark.
