The Ogden boys’ basketball team came up just short in a West Central Conference battle Friday, February 6, falling 62–59 on the road at Earlham while the girls also lost to the No. 15 Cardinals.
For the boys, Colson Carson poured in 31 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 2-of-5 from three and 11-of-12 from the free‑throw line.
He also led Ogden on the glass with 9 rebounds and added a block.
Jase Coleman provided 14 points and on 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Brayden Miller added 10 points while battling through heavy defensive pressure, finishing 4-of-14 from the field.
Nate Swisher and Keagan Ristvedt each contributed 4 rebounds, with both players adding a steal and Ristvedt collecting an offensive board.
Ristvedt also dished out 8 assists, and Miller had 3 assists.
Ogden is 4–15 overall and 1–13 in the conference while Earlham is 12–9 overall and 8–5 in conference play.
No. 15 Earlham 65, Ogden 28
The Ogden girls fell, 65–28, to No. 15 Earlham.
Grace Christensen led Ogden with 10 points, shooting 3-of-9 from the floor, 2-of-5 from three, and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free‑throw line.
Anna Wilson followed with 8 points, knocking down 3-of-4 from the field and 1-of-2 from deep, while also grabbing 3 rebounds.
Sawyer Curry added 4 points on 2-of-3 shooting and pulled down 3 rebounds, including one offensive.
Alena Wilson had 4 rebounds, 1 offensive rebound, and 2 steals, while senior Lauren Mathews added 5 rebounds and 3 assists with just one turnover.
Ogden is 2–19 overall and 0–14 in the conference while Earlham is 16–5 overall and 11–2 in the conference.
Ogden closes the regular season on Tuesday, February 10, traveling to Panorama for the final West Central Conference doubleheader.
The Panorama girls are 6–14 overall and 0–14 in the conference while the Panorama boys are 1–19 overall and 0–14 in the conference.
