
The Boone girls’ track and field team finished third with 100 points Monday, April 20, at the Greene County Ram Relays, in Jefferson.
Boone posted a first‑place finish as Whitney Chesnut captured the title in the 1500-meter run with a winning time of 5:09.24.
Ainsley Powell claimed second place in the high jump, clearing 4‑8, while Reagan Morgan finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.20.
The 4×800 relay team of Morgan, Finley Houser, Quinn Houston and Chesnut placed runner‑up with a time of 11:00.68.
Taylor Arringdale placed third in the long jump with a leap of 15‑4, while Bethany Van Dyke earned third in the 3000-meter run.
Boone’s distance medley relay of Arringdale, Avah Hayes, Bry Morgan and Reagan Morgan also finished third in 4:38.05.
The shuttle hurdle relay of Abi Leu, McKenzie Klatt, Maylin Griffis and Kyra Darby also placed third in 1:16.66.
Greene County won the meet with 112 points, followed closely by Woodward‑Granger with 108. Boone edged out several teams to secure third place, finishing ahead of Carroll, Webster City, and Perry.
