
The Madrid girls’ track and field team captured the team title at the Ogden Co-Ed Relays with 157 points Friday, May 8, at Ogden High School.
Individual events
Paige Richards set the tone with victories in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes in 12.37 and 26.08, respectively.
Richards also won the long jump in 17-04.00.
Lauren Dvorak won both the shot put and discus with throws of 38-08.25 and 127-01, respectively.
Mayzie Surratt added runner‑up finishes in the shot put and discus with throws of 31-06.75 and 105-08, respectively.
Olivia Pudnez finished second in the 800-meter run in 2:49.67.
Hannah Brandhorst was runner‑up in the 1500-meter run in 4:53.47, and Madelyn Grothus was fourth in 4:58.96.
The Tigers also placed well in the 400-meter hurdles with Kiera Alt finishing third in 1:21.44 and Ashlyn Burkhart placing fourth in 1:24.99.
Kimee Smith finished fourth in the 200 in 28.63.
Ella Hutchinson was fourth in the 3000-meter run in 14:20.82 while Katelyn Hanson was fifth in 15:01.27.
Adelyn White finished fourth in the 100‑meter hurdles in 17.23, while Iyla Fine was fifth in 17.25.
Makayla Mullenbach contributed with a fifth‑place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:15.36, and Alyssa Sonnenfeldt was sixth in 1:21.80.
Alania Dvorak placed fourth in the high jump clearing 4-06.00.
Relay events
The Tigers won the distance medley relay with Smith, Jaele Hanson, Richards and Katelyn Brandhorst finishing in 4:26.44.
Madrid was third in the 4×200-meter relay in 2:03.69 with Olivia Ostert, Zoey Olson, Alt and Hanson.
Madrid also placed third in the 4×400 relay with Fine, Adelyn White, Mullenback and Smith in 4:46.64.
They also placed third in the 4×800-meter relay in 14:01.96 with Mullenbach, Hutchinson, Hanson and Milena Keller.
Madrid was fourth in the sprint medley in 2:08.13 with Olsen, Charlotte Schaeller, Fine and Alt.
The shuttle hurdle relay finished fourth in 1:13.01 with Fine, Schaeller, Burkhart and Adelyn White.
Madrid was sixth in the 4×100-meter relay in 57.64 with Schaeller, Olsen, Avian Landers and Hansen.
