
The Ogden softball team dropped both games of a West Central Conference doubleheader against No. 8 Pleasantville Thursday, June 4, at Pleasantville.
In Game 1, Ogden came up short in a 7-4 loss.
The Bulldogs were led by Adi Banks.
Banks racked up four hits, including a double and a home run, while driving in four RBIs and scoring once.
Grace Christensen added two hits and crossed the plate once, while Aubrey Leonard and Dakota Jones each chipped in a hit.
Katie Wilcoxson delivered a complete-game effort, striking out eight batters, but was tagged with the loss.
The Bulldogs fell 7-1 in Game 2 as the Trojans completed the doubleheader sweep.
Ogden managed to scatter hits throughout the lineup, with Leonard, Sophie Seligman, and Harleigh Janssen each recording a hit.
Clara Kruse provided the team’s lone RBI on a hit of her own.
Kruse also pitched the nightcap and suffered the loss.
With the two losses, Ogden drops to 6-8 on the season, while Pleasantville improves to 6-3.
The Bulldogs will travel to the Iowa Falls-Alden Softball Tournament on Saturday, June 6.
