
The Ogden softball team rolled to a 13-1 victory over Iowa Falls-Alden before dropping a 9-3 decision to Ballard Saturday, June 6, at the Iowa Falls-Alden Softball Tournament.
Game 1: Ogden 13, Iowa Falls-Alden 1
The Bulldogs scored three runs in the first inning, then added single runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to build their lead.
The game broke wide open in the sixth inning, when Ogden scored seven runs, putting the contest out of reach.
Iowa Falls-Alden managed its only run in the bottom half of the inning.
Ogden’s offense was led by Aubrey Leonard, who had four hits, four runs scored, one RBI, a home run, and four stolen bases.
Grace Christensen added three hits, two RBIs, and a run scored, while Sophie Seligman contributed two hits, three RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base.
Harleigh Janssen recording two hits and two RBIs, and Dakota Jones tallying two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI.
Lauren Mathews chipped in with a hit and drove in two runs.
Katie Wilcoxson earned the win.
Game 2: Ballard 9, Ogden 3
In the second game, Ogden ran into a tougher challenge against Ballard and was unable to keep pace as Ballard pulled away for the victory.
Christensen stayed hot at the plate, collecting three hits and scoring a run to lead Ogden.
Clara Kruse added two hits and an RBI, and Adi Banks drove in two runs on one hit.
Wilcoxson took the loss, finishing with two strikeouts.
Ogden now stands at 7-9 overall on the season.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to travel to face Madrid (7-2) on the road tonight, with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
