
The Boone baseball team ran into a tough night on Friday, June 5, falling 11-0 to Ames in a non-conference matchup in Ames.
Boone was limited in its opportunities at the plate, managing just two hits on the night.
Noah Davies accounted for one of those hits and added a stolen base.
Levi Behn recorded the team’s other hit as Boone struggled to generate offense against Ames’ pitching.
Landon Youngblood took the loss in relief, recording one strikeout during his outing.
Noah Gorman also worked out of the bullpen and struck out two batters.
Ames improved to 5-7 with the win, while Boone dropped to 4-3 on the season.
The Toreadors return to action tonight, traveling to face Carlisle (9-2) in a Raccoon River Conference doubleheader.
