DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information concerning the heavy rain and severe weather potential for today. Two rounds of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected. Severe weather and heavy rainfall chances can be expected over much of the area, with the highest potential in southern, central, and then eastern Iowa.
