
The Boone baseball team had a split in its Raccoon River Conference doubleheader at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn on Thursday, June 18, dropping a tightly contested opener 3–2 before scoring a 13–1, five-inning victory in the nightcap.
Game 1: ADM 3, Boone 2
The Toreadors came up short in the opener.
Tyce Carlson led the way with a pair of hits and an RBI, while Landon Youngblood added a hit and drove in a run.
Noah Davies contributed a hit and scored twice, accounting for both Boone runs.
Levi Behn, Noah Gorman, Ryan Bowers, and Hendrix Moorman each chipped in one hit.

Game 2: Boone 13, ADM 1 (5 innings)
In the second game, Boone broke things open with a five-run first inning and never looked back.
The Toreadors’ offense stayed hot throughout, scoring runs in every inning — one in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth, and two more in the fifth — to secure the victory.
ADM’s lone run came in the bottom of the first inning.
Behn went 2-for-3 with a home run, scoring once and driving in two runs.
Bowers reached base twice, scoring two runs and adding an RBI.
Cole Christeson finished with two hits, including a double, two runs scored, and a team-high five RBIs.
Davies added a hit, a run, and two RBIs, while Carlson scored twice and collected a hit.
Gorman contributed a hit and crossed the plate twice, and Youngblood added a run scored.
Behn also picked up the win, helping limit ADM to just one run.
With the split, Boone moves to 8-7 overall and 4-5 in conference play, while ADM stands at 8-13 overall and 3-7 in the league.
The Toreadors travel to face Webster City (15-2) in a non-conference matchup scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight.
