BOONE, Iowa—A formal ceremony was held Friday for the dedication of the SGT Daniel Sesker Memorial Bridge on U.S. Highway 30 between Ogden and Boone. Sesker died on April 6, 2006, when a roadside bomb was set off beside his Humvee. The Boone County Supervisors submitted the request and formal resolution to the Iowa DOT which handles such requests. The ceremony was held at the DOT Maintenance shed.
