DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated forecast information concerning the following severe weather and hydrology concerns. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected this week. Persistent heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding and eventually river flooding.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening with all hazards possible across central Iowa. Severe weather and heavy rain will continue for much of this week.
