
Boone picked up a straight-set victory over Perry on Saturday, September 12, at the Woodward-Granger Tournament.
The match was highlighted by a perfect serving performance.
Boone went 26-for-26 from the service line with Kaylee Kuehl, Claire Hardinger, Ava Johnson and Karsyn Smith all avoiding service errors.
Halle Johnson had 18 assists, and Claire Hardinger led Boone with seven kills, while Ava Johnson added three kills.
Defensively, Karsyn Smith paced the Toreadors with 10 digs.
Hailee Bingham and Taylor Engnell each contributed five digs.
At the net, Kuehl recorded Boone’s lone block, and she also made an impact from the service line with three ace serves.
Ava Johnson added two aces, and Hardinger chipped in one ace.
Boone enters this week with a 4-7 overall record and an 0-2 mark in Raccoon River Conference play.
The Toreadors will look to carry Saturday’s success into conference action tonight when they travel to Gilbert.
The Tigers enter the matchup with a 1-15 overall record and are also 0-2 in conference play.
First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
