Ogden scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter Friday night to rally for a 17-14 district victory over West Central Valley at Stuart.
The Bulldogs trailed 14-3 heading into the final quarter before putting together their comeback.
West Central Valley grabbed the early advantage with eight points in the first quarter and added six more in the second.
Ogden got on the scoreboard before halftime when Lincoln Buchwald connected on a 25-yard field goal, sending the Bulldogs to the locker room trailing 14-3.
Ogden’s offense came alive in the fourth quarter.
Carson Lloyd connected with Weston Sundell for a touchdown, while Ryden Eklund added a rushing touchdown.
Lloyd had a productive night through the air, completing 13 of 24 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown.
He also led Ogden’s rushing attack with 59 yards on 12 carries.
Eklund carried six times for 30 yards and a touchdown, while Jackson Klith finished with eight yards on eight attempts.
Sundell was Lloyd’s top target, catching nine passes for 132 yards and a touchdown.
Brayden Miller added three receptions for 61 yards, while Klith caught one pass for one yard.
Ogden’s defense played a major role in keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance and shutting out West Central Valley after halftime.
Dillon Moe led the defense with 19 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss.
Landon Alexander recorded 14.5 tackles, five tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Eklund contributed 12.5 tackles.
Nate Swisher finished with seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Kobe Current had 4.5 tackles, while Ryder Hamil and Zachary Crosman each recorded four.
Sylus Rude added three tackles, including one for loss.
The Bulldogs also forced several turnovers.
Sundell recorded an interception, while Sundell, Current and Eklund each recovered a fumble.
The victory improves Ogden to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district play.
West Central Valley falls to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the district.
Ogden returns home Friday, October 2, for its Homecoming game against Pleasantville.
Pleasantville enters the matchup at 3-2 overall and 0-2 in district play.
The game will be broadcast on KWBG, FM 101.5 and AM 1590, with Sports Director Ryan Wendt on the call.
