The Madrid boys’ cross country team finished ninth Monday, September 28, at the Ogden meet at Don Williams Park.
Riverside of Oakland won the team championship with 49 points, followed by Ankeny Christian Academy with 76 and Earlham with 111.
South Hamilton placed fourth with 147 points, while Grand View Christian finished fifth with 149.
The Tigers scored 198 points in the 13-team field.
Hudson White led Madrid with a strong performance, placing 13th overall with a time of 17 minutes, 46.69 seconds.
Jacob Brandhorst also finished inside the top 20, taking 17th place in 18:07.92.
Kris Petersen was Madrid’s third runner across the finish line, placing 31st with a time of 18:51.74.
Isaac Boes finished 83rd in 21:15.45, while Aiden Titus was right behind in 84th place with a time of 21:18.57.
Sean Udelhoven finished 94th in 21:47.60, followed by Cole Berberich, who was 99th in 22:24.44.
Aiden Firmstone placed 119th in 24:19.16, and Otto Johnsen was 120th in 24:19.52.
James Richardson finished 137th in 27:15.08, while Lyric Ortiz placed 139th in 27:31.55.

Madrid will next travel to the Jewell Golf and Country Club on Thursday, October 8, to compete in the Jim Klein Cross Country Invitational, hosted by South Hamilton.
