John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling visits about the construction projects at the landfill, moving ahead with dryer conditions after September. He noted that there’s a lot of traffic into and out of the landfill with citywide cleanup in Boone, solid waste hauling from Ames and Story County and construction traffic. There is also expected to be an increase in local traffic for free yard waste disposal with dryer weather.
