
The Ogden girls’ cross country team earned an eighth-place finish Thursday, October 8, at the South Hamilton Invitational in Jewell.
The Bulldogs totaled 191 team points and were led by Sophie Seligman, who paced the squad with a 32nd-place finish in 21:54.93.
Alena Wilson followed closely behind, placing 39th overall in 23:11.96, while Kelsey Spencer finished just seconds later in 42nd place with a time of 23:14.27.
Rylin Casey added a 52nd-place finish in 23:48.76, while Addison Hunziker rounded out the Bulldogs’ scoring five in 67th place with a time of 26:25.30.
Ada Weaver also competed for Ogden and crossed the finish line in 26:42.83.
The team race was won by North Polk, which scored 44 points behind five runners in the top 20.
West Marshall was second with 67 points, while Collins-Maxwell claimed third with 102 points. Ogden finished eighth in the 10-team field.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 15, when they compete in the West Central Activities Conference Championships at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School.
