Ardis Cazett, 87, Boone, Iowa
BOONE, Iowa—Ardis Cazett, age 87, of Boone, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Ardis was born July 19, 1939, in Hollandale, Minnesota, the daughter of Orlin and Eunice (Tostenson) Taylor. She was united in marriage to Clifford Cazett on July 23, 1976.
Ardis was very family orientated and loved taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She liked to read, watch her soap operas, have coffee with her family and friends and talking on the phone. Ardis looked forward to Mondays, when she would run errands around Boone with her brother Doug, everyone knew not to bother her on that day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlin and Eunice Taylor; first husband, Donald Peden; second husband, Clifford Cazett; siblings, Marlene Taylor, Beverly Middents, Wayne Taylor, Paul Taylor, Donny Taylor, Dorothy Taylor, Coreen Lawrence and Barbara Thompson.
Ardis is survived by her three daughters, Deb (Terry) Weber, Mindy (Dallas) Buck and Stacie McClure; six grandchildren, Joey (Andrēa) Weber, Keliena (Glen) Caldwell, Tyler (Anna) Buck, Brittany (Ryan) Rice, CJ (Kaylea Cobb) Buck and Jensen McClure; five great-grandchildren, Jesse, Gage, Axel, Emmett and Ingrid; three brothers, Rick (Phyllis) Taylor, Mike (Lynda) Taylor, and Doug Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
