BOONE, Iowa—21 members of the Boone A&M FFA Chapter attended the 91st Iowa FFA Leadership Conference at Iowa State University in Ames last Monday and Tuesday, April 15th and 16th. Students competed in Career Development Events, attended leadership workshops, explored college and career opportunities, and received recognition for accomplishments from the past year.
Jim Fitzgerald, Ag Science Instructor and Boone A&M FFA Chapter Advisor noted some of the highlights:
Megan Osborn was a State Winner-Turf Grass Proficiency Award.
Shyanne Brogden received 3rd Place in State Public Speaking.
The group of Carter Haub, Skyler Walters, Ian Anderson, Payton Nesbitt, Hunter Beck, Will Judge and Brice Peterson received a Silver Rating in State Ag Issues,
The team of Brennan Lynch, Blake Schwind, Joe Zehr and Gage Morain were recognized for a Silver Rating in Team Ag Sales.
This year, Iowa FFA Degree recipients were Brennan Lynch and Wyatt Carlson.
