Boone baseball falls to North Polk

The Boone baseball team ran into a tough North Polk squad Tuesday, June 30, in Raccoon River Conference action, falling 14-3 on the road.

The Boone baseball team ran into a tough North Polk squad Tuesday, June 30, in Raccoon River Conference action, falling 14-3 on the road. 

Tyce Carlson led the Toreadors with two hits, highlighted by a double. 

Noah Davies finished with a double, while scoring two of Boone’s three runs and driving in another.  

Levi Behn added an RBI on one hit, and Noah Gorman contributed an RBI as well. 

Landon Youngblood and RJ Lennon each chipped in a hit for Boone.  

Lennon also crossed the plate to account for the team’s third run. 

Youngblood took the loss on the mound for the Toreadors. 

The Comets move to 21-7 overall and 11-3 in conference play.  

Boone dropped to 14-10 overall and 6-8 in the league. 

The Toreadors return home tonight for another Raccoon River Conference matchup against Bondurant-Farrar, which enters play at 17-12 overall and 8-7 in conference action.
