
Ogden’s softball team cruised to an 8-0 shutout road victory over Baxter ion five innings Tuesday, June 30, in non-conference play.
The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the first inning before adding two more in the second and three in the third to build a commanding early lead they never relinquished.
Lauren Mathews led the way with two hits, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in a run.
Grace Christensen also collected two hits, scoring once, and knocking in three runs and added a stolen base.
Aubrey Leonard contributed one hit, scored twice and drove in two runs whie Adi Banks added two RBIs.
Dakota Jones added two hits and scored twice, while Harleigh Janssen recorded a hit of her own.
Sophia Moorman also crossed the plate.
Katie Wilcoxson struck out seven batters while tossing a complete-game shutout to keep Baxter off the scoreboard.
Ogden improved to 20-14 overall with the win, while Baxter fell to 4-21.
The Bulldogs return home tonight to face West Marshall, which enters play with a 20-10 record, in another non-conference matchup.
