Boone boys’ soccer drops home matches

The Boone boys’ soccer team had a challenging weekend with three matches at Goeppinger Field, falling in each contest, while the girls also lost their game.

The Boone boys’ soccer team had a challenging weekend with three matches at Goeppinger Field, falling in each contest, while the girls also lost their match.

Bondurant-Farrar 11, Boone 1 

On Friday, April 24, Boone dropped an 11–1 decision to Bondurant‑Farrar in Raccoon River Conference play.  

Owen Hill scored a goal on the team’s only shot on goal for a perfect 100 percent shooting mark.  

Ethan Ward assisted on the goal.  

Goalkeeper Lincoln Buchwald had 14 saves, finishing with a 56.0 save percentage. 

Des Moines North 10, Boone 0 

Boone returned to action Saturday at Goeppinger Field and was defeated 10–0 by Des Moines North.  

Buchwald recorded 12 saves. 

Underwood 5, Boone 1 

Later Saturday, Boone took on Underwood and suffered a 5–1 loss.  

Sawyer Kruckenberg tallied Boone’s goal, once again capitalizing on the team’s lone shot on goal.  

Tristan Bierwagen assisted on the play.  

Buchwald made 13 saves and posting a 72.2 save percentage. 

The Boone boys are now 0–10 overall on the season.  

They will host conference opponent Carroll (5–2–1) Tuesday, April 28, at Goeppinger Field. 

Girls match No. 12 Bondurant-Farrar 6, Boone 0 

The Boone girls’ soccer team was on the road Friday, April 24, traveling to Bondurant‑Farrar High School to face No. 12 Bondurant‑Farrar in conference play.  

Boone fell 6–0 in the matchup against the ranked opponent. 

Goalkeeper Reese Majors made 16 saves and finished the night with a 72.7 save percentage. 

Boone enters the week with a 1–3–2 overall record.  

The Toreadors will return to conference play Tuesday, April 28, when they travel to Carroll (2–6).
