The Boone boys track and field team competed in a 34-team field Saturday, April 11, at the Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
In the field events, Jude Baumgardner placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 11 inches.
In the discus, Caden Sprecher recorded a throw of 134 feet, 6 inches, and Slayde Lee added a mark of 122 feet, 9 inches.
In the 400-meter dash, Jaydon Clark ran a time of 53.38 seconds.
Dorian Myers clocked 2:03.15 in the 800-meter run, and Teddy Johnson recorded a time of 2:11.79.
The 4×400-meter relay of Maddox McIntyre, Myers, Ajay Braddock and Clark finished in 3:33.75.
The sprint medley relay of Ryder Hillsabeck, Gabe Villalva, McIntyre and Myers ended in 1:41.40.
The shuttle hurdle relay of Bodie Brogden, Brenden Hedrick, Issac McCloud and Landon Youngblood finished in 1:09.95.

The boys’ throwers will compete at the Bill Miller Invite this afternoon in Van Meter in a meet rescheduled from last week.
